ABSTRACT
Many organizations use contract employees in carrying out tasks instead of permanent employees and the trend is rapidly growing. The practice is spreading across industries, from those in manufacturing, those in service industry and other disciplines eg construction workers, medicine practioners, banking sector, as well as information technologists. The trend has been necessitated by the rising costs of doing business hence employers are trying to cut labour costs as much as they can. This study sought to examine the effect of contract employment on employees performance in money deposit Banks in the university of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, in term of their quality of work, efficiency, effectiveness, behavior and innovation.
