ABSTRACT
The art studio should be the perfect environment for entrepreneurial innovation with the necessary equipment. Unfortunately, the textile studio of the department of Fine and Applied Art University of Benin does not offer such environment. This gave rise to the need for the construction of multipurpose workstation.
The objectives of the study is to solve the problem of lack of equipment and furniture in the textile studio. The construction of a workstation will make the studio convenient and conducive for learning and therefore will help students work effectively and express their artistic abilities. A comparative study of art studios was done to ascertaining those salient qualities of an ideal art studio.
It is hoped that the constructed workstation will pave the way for the textile students to optimally express themselves creatively.
