ABSTRACT
In this field of study in creativity,learning become difficult and critical,because of the environment, which is not Conductive or rather not well equipped for the process of learning.
The 400level textile students of 2016/2017, 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 were confronted with the problem of inadequate space with poor ventilation, poor storage facilities of hazardous chemicals which are harmful to health, insufficient water supply.
hence, Textile studio should be suitable and well equipped environment. it should have the basic equipment that is required for the current standards of textile design the 2016/2017 400 level textile design decided to take on the project of refurbishing the 400 level design studio to make more suitable environment for the learning. This done by providing the studio the required materials such as furniture,which includes table,chair together with a light box and a locker.
With the provision of multipurpose pieces of furniture for the textile studio is to solve the problem of unavailability of the basic studio equipment, tool and furniture in the textile studio. During the refurbishing process, various elements of design were put in place. Not just only to ensure aesthetic appeal,but a functional one. it is hope that when this facilities are put in place .the studio will be inspire,as well as to boost the learning and creativity the textile design studio in the University of Benin.
