ABSTRACT
In this work, a portable, affordable, effective, and flexible miniweather monitoring system was built and applied to measure and monitor some weather variables in order to reduce climate-related environmental disasters and boost agricultural output.
This research is divided into two parts: hardware and software.
The hardware implementation entails designing a circuit using an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and some modern reliable sensors with a real-time data logger and liquid crystal display (LCD), whereas the software implementation entails writing code in C++ and programming the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller from Proteus 8.
This small weather monitoring device is advantageous due to its on device display, smaller size, cost effectiveness, flexibility, portability, and ease of use. It will be utilized for meteorological measures such as temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, ambient light intensity, and dew point approximation, providing weather data to small-scale customers such as farmers, travelers, researchers, and institutions.
