ABSTRACT

This essay analyzes the depiction of social conflict in Nigeria, focusing on Jadesola Osiberu's Gangs of Lagos and Kemi Adetiba's King of Boys. The study aims to examine instances of conflict resolution as portrayed in these Movies.

 This study is focus on examining conflict resolution in other to curb social unrest of political and socio-economic issues which are prevalent in the society.

The methodological approach employed in this research is the qualitative method because it helps to reveal human experiences. This study depicts the lives of people; especially politicians on the quest for power and fame are portrayed in the movies.

The study discovers that Osiberu and Adetiba employs satire in order to criticize the society and prone the leaders and citizens into social change which brought their similar views demonstrated in their movies as a reflection of the society. This study interprets how conflict is perceived and how politicians tend to solve social issues their own way.
