ABSTRACT
This study compares the effects of commercial heparin and plant-derived heparin-like anticoagulants on protein and enzyme stability in bovine blood samples. Key biochemical markers, include ALT, AST, ALP, Total bilirubin, conjugated bilirubin, albumin, total protein, and globulin, were analyzed using standardized spectrophotometric techniques. The results showed that ALT , AST , Total bilirubin and conjugate bilirubin levels are within the clinical normal range . such as 84-131u/l, 78-182u/l , 0.1-1.2mg/dl and 0.0-5.1g/l respectively .Additional comparatives analysis of ALT, AST ,Total bilirubin and Conjugate bilirubin did not show significant difference (p>0.005) between the test and the reference value , However ALP, Albumin , Total protein and globulin were also found to be within clinical normal range , such as 70-484u/l , 0.1-3.8g/l , 6.7- 8.0g/l and 3.0-5.8g/l respectively ,However significant difference were observe between the test and reference value (p<0.05) ,This findings may suggest the application of the plant derived anticoagulant in clinical samples , further studies are recommended to explore long-term effects and clinical applications of plant derived anticoagulant.
