ABSTRACT
This study was conducted on the aqueous extract of Telfairia occidentalis leavs and stem. The leaves and stem were collected, dried, pulverized and extracted with water by maceration method. The solvent was removed using rotary evaporator. The crude extract was subjected to phytochemical screening, The phytochemical constituents present in the leaf includes glycosides, saponins, flavonoids, phenolics, terpenoids, tannins, eugenols and alkaloids were present while steroids were absent. For the stem, glycosides, saponins, phenolics, terpenoids alkaloids, flavonoids and eugenols were present while steroids and tannins were absent.
