SUMMARY
This study is to examine the health care financing Strategies of public and private health institutions and its implications for health care delivery in Kaduna State.
Nigerian government has not been able to meet the health demand of Nigerians. This is because government alone cannot take the financial responsibility of providing health care for Nigerians. The level of government expenditures in the Nigeria health sector over the years tells a story of neglect. Consequently, the financial burden of Out-of-Pocket payment at the time of health care utilization has made many Nigerians to spend high amounts of money, compared to their available income. In addition the situation has reduced basic spending of many on other items and has also prevented many from seeking or obtaining healthcare.
In carrying out the study, however, four objectives and four research hypotheses were put forward to guide the study. In doing this, the study utilized both primary and secondary data. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study and a total of ninety eight respondents were sampled for the study.
