COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF DESIGN OF A TALL ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING STRUCTURE USING THE COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN METHOD AND THE MANUAL METHOD

ABSTRACT

This study presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of the design process for a tall administrative building structure, utilizing two distinct methodologies: Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and the conventional Manual method. The objective of this research is to evaluate the advantages and limitations of each approach, shedding light on their respective efficiencies, accuracy, and practicality in modern architectural and engineering practices. The second section of the study is divided into two parts, the first of which the CAD method is explored. This method leverages advanced software tools and technologies to facilitate the design process, offering precise modeling, rapid prototyping, and real-time simulations. The research delves into the various CAD software available, assessing their capabilities and impact on the architectural design process, with a particular focus on tall buildings. The second part in the second section examines the Manual method, which relies on traditional drafting techniques and calculations. This approach has been the cornerstone of architectural and engineering design for centuries. The study explores the intricacies of manual drafting, highlighting its enduring relevance and the skills required to execute complex tall building designs.
