ABSTRACT
The Nigerian society from inception has been faced with the challenge of corruption. Despite several legislative and administrative effort at combatting this menace posed by corruption to the Nigerian society, the issues still persist till present. The study examines the challenges militating against the fight against corruption in Nigeria. The study made a modest attempt to assess the effort of government in fighting corruption in Nigeria. It also assesses the various anti-corruption agencies established to fight corrupt practices in Nigeria and how well these agencies have performed in the discharge of their duties and challenges militating against the fight on Corruption. Also, the study looks at anti-corruption legal regimes in other jurisdiction The study adopts the doctrinal method, and it is limited to discussing the challenges militating against the fight against corruption in Nigeria, the study also discusses the causes of corruption in Nigeria, and various step in which the Government have taken to ameliorate corruption in the Country Nigeria.
