ABSTRACT
This research work was carried out to access how colouring and scribbling impacts on the early childhood education pupils in Oredo Local Government Area of Benin City. Related literature to the topic under study is reviewed. Though not exhaustive, pupils art of colouring and scribbling, learning to write and draw, colour, scribble and the cognitive development were reviewed.
To carry out the study, four research questions were used as a guide. Seven private schools, which is 28% of the population was selected randomly as a sample in Oredo Local Government Area in Edo State. 25 head teachers and 50 class teachers totaling, 75 in number were used for the study.
The deductions from the study, simply express the pleasure and intense involvement pupils derive from colouring and scribbling.
