CLOTHING AS A SYMBOL OF REMEMBRANCE IN PERFORMANCE BOVI ENDSARS

ABSTRACT

This study investigates clothing as a symbol of remembrance in performance. It further elucidates clothing designs in remembrance context and to fulfill the documentation of the importance of cloth in performance and to emphasize the act of creating clothes that have psycho effects on the appearance of production performers. The study employs the use of content analysis of literature and pictorial review of EndSARS protests across the nation. Data were sourced from different sources like textbooks, magazines, articles, websites and were analysed accordingly. In the process of carrying out the study, proper analysis of the causes, the protest and the aftermath of EndSARS were critically explored. Consequently, significance and symbolism of clothing in relation to BOVI Eddies outfit styles were deeply explored. The study revealed the purposes of clothing in performances and its ability to signal the mind of the performer even while he keeps mute. It was also found in the process of carrying out this study work that clothing style can determine the personality who wears it. It was still discovered that the style of clothe can describe the cultural background, religion and social status of a personality. It is therefore recommended that individuals should have the knowledge of choice of clothing styles that can also speak of a performer in any kind of performance.
