ABSTRACT
The primary goal of this research is to examine the impact of claims management on the growth of the Nigerian insurance industry.The study employs descriptive and analytical methods for historical and time series data. The study was carried out between 1995 and 2020 (twenty-five years). The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin, 2021 provided the secondary data for the research. The multiple regression approach was used to evaluate the relationship between the variables used, and the secondary data were displayed in tables. The hypotheses proposed in the study were tested using T-statistics and F-statistics. The analysis's conclusion showed that there is a strong correlation between the growth in Nigeria's insurance sector and claims management. Furthermore, there exists a noteworthy correlation between the management of claims and the premiums received by the insurance sector in Nigeria. For this reason, it is advised that insurance companies prioritise the timely payment of sufficient claims in order to foster greater clientele, which is always reflected in premium payments and insurance growth.
