ABSTRACT
This research examines citizenship and leadership variable for primary school pupils via theatre nuances. The study explores the role of the theatre in teaching citizenship and leadership variables to primary school pupils. The survey method was adopted as the research method while the instrument for data collection was the questionnaire which the researcher distributed to respondents who are teachers of pupils in three different primary schools in Edo state. The researcher used both the primary and the secondary sources of data in the course of the study. The primary data were collected through the instrument of questionnaire while the secondary data were collected from text books, and online sources. The findings from this study revealed that citizenship and leadership education for primary school pupils is very important and that the application of theatre nuances is very essential as it enhances better understanding of the knowledge delivered to the pupils. The study therefore recommends theatre nuances as a preferred teaching tool for citizenship and leadership for primary school pupils.
