ABSTRACT
The integration of technology in education has transformed traditional learning methods, prompting institutions to seek efficient ways to disseminate information. This project proposes a chatbot solution to address the challenges faced by University of Benin (UNIBEN) students in accessing timely and relevant information. Chatbots, as conversational agents utilizing natural language processing (NLP), provide instant responses, enhance student interaction, and improve the overall learning experience. The motivation for this project arises from the inefficiencies of traditional information access methods, such as time-consuming processes and information overload. By offering an intuitive, dynamic interface, chatbots allow students to interact naturally and seek real-time assistance. The primary goal is to streamline information access and enhance the user experience for students by providing instant responses to frequently asked questions and facilitating access to essential information. This project focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating a chatbot system tailored for the Faculty of Physical Sciences at UNIBEN, using the faculty's prospectus as the primary knowledge base.
