SUMMARY
This study was designed to address the following objectives, majority of the respondents that is 29(72.5%) believed that their relationship with their migrant spouses is cordial, 7(17.5%) claimed that it is fair while 4 (10%) claimed that it is hostile. These majority assertions explain why majority of such woman want to be with their migrant spouses every day if possible. Such cordiality is also expressed in terms of the relationship between majority of these women and the in-laws such cordiality explains why overwhelming 75% of the respondents have never thought of quitting their marriages despite the challenges they face daily at the absence of their partners. Some of the most important challenges of those women are difficulty in playing the mother figure and father figures roles in the home loneliness and emotional problems, insecurity and sexual abuse and occasion and in-laws problems. All these affect the basic role of the family as s socialızation unit, social band in the family especially between the woman and her in-laws loneliness may equally lead to infidelity.
