ABSTRACT
Musical Instruments are important in every musical performance that requires them. This project examines the challenges faced by producers of musical instruments and also reveal methods which they apply to overcome these challenges. Musical Instrument makers usually encounter some challenges which are; electricity problems, financial problems, insecurity and under-estimation of materials; however, they have discovered various tactics in addressing these challenges. The outcome of this study is presented in five chapters. Chapter one which is the preliminary section of the project presents information regarding the background of musical instruments, research question, significance of the study, methodology adopted in carrying out the research; Chapter two is a review of related literature on the topic; Chapter three deals on the methodology adopted in carrying out the research; Chapter four is a presentation of the construction, storage, usage of musical instruments in Benin-City, it also explores the challenges faced by producers of musical instruments, the methods they use in overcoming the challenges and the prospects involved in the business. The last chapter of the research which is chapter five is the summary and conclusion of the research.
