ABSTRACT
The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014 has had far-reaching consequences for the region and the world. This study examines the underlying causes of the conflict, including political, historical, and economic factors. The study also explores Russia-Ukraine relation from the formation of USSR or Soviet Union. The study also investigates the effects of the invasion, including humanitarian crises, economic sanctions, and geopolitical tensions. The study adopt historical research method, data was collected from secondary sources, such as books, journal articles, magazines, internet sources, international and national conference proceedings, published and unpublished articles. The analysis reveals that the conflict has resulted in significant human suffering, economic instability, and a destabilization of international relations. The study concludes by highlighting the need for a comprehensive and diplomatic solution to the conflict, taking into account the complex interests and concerns of all parties involved.
