ABSTRACT

In this work, the Schrödinger wave equation was discussed, and the ways in which the time dependent and time independent form of the equation can be derived is also stated. There are several methods that can be used to find the solution to the Schrödinger equation, some of which are also discussed in this project along with the various potentials used in solving the equation.

The bound state energy under the influence of the Coulomb-Hulthen-Pöschl-Teller (CHPT) potential, interacting with the Schrödinger equation was obtained using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The parametic constants as well as the corresponding wave function for the CHPT potential was also obtained
