ABSTRACT
Creativity is a basic aspect of an artist profession and as such should be regarded with high esteem which includes the particular environment and tools in which this artist uses in achieving the end product of his creativity. A studio is to an artist as a laboratory is to a scientist. This is where the artist unleashes his creativity to it's zenith. But this height of creativity cannot be achieved if this artist's studio is not conducive enough. The Graphic studio in the department of fine and applied arts, university of Benin is lagging behind in most of this essential facilities that can aid adequate learning. Therefore we the 400 level students have come up with a consensus mutually to assume the responsibility of rebranding the graphic design studio.This will be done by providing necessary materials, such as furniture, projector, electrical fittings, ceiling fans, blinds, re-painting, ETC in the studio. It is anticipated that when these infrastructures are put in place, the studio will inspire creativity both in the present and future graphic students in the Department.
