Over the past 10yrs reviewers and correspondents have made a number of helpful criticisms and suggestions for which the author has been most grateful in the light of the advise received and the results of more recent research some and much needed amendments have now been made in particular, the brief introduction to citizenship education. It is hoped that this will meet with the approval of specialists in the particular field and at the same time provide a clear introduction for the type of reader for whom the text or a whole was written
Although this is mere introduction to the study of social studies/ civics in the elementary and / secondary school an effort has been made to avoid over generalization and environmental studies untruth. Too often in the past have the reasons for these development been much over simplified and it is partly because of this that we need to study citizenship Education to know our right in the society, to study both Human & physical characteristics in the environment we live, to know the kind of freedom and governmental system practice in the country.
Experience has shown that many readers have regarded it more as part of Governmental studies, it more as a work of reference than a mere introduction, and an attempt must now be made to meet their requirements.
