ABSTRACT
The study examined the Availability, Accessibility and Use of Electronic Information Resources in University Libraries by Undergraduate Students for Research. Six research questions were raised and analysed for the purpose of this study. Purposive sampling technique was used to survey the 741 Undergraduate students in the Department of Adult and Non Formal Education, Faculty of Education, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State. The data was collected with a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using frequency and simple percentage.
The result revealed that Electronic Information Resources are very vital to Undergraduate Students for Research, it helps students to accomplish more work with less effort and reduces frustration by providing a balance. The study revealed challenges faced by undergraduates in using these electronic resources which includes insufficient computer search skills, power outages, low connectivity etc
Based on the results it was recommended that the University management should provide alternative power supply to ensure that there is steady power supply for easy access to Electronic Information Resources in the University Library for Research.
