ABSTRACT

The aim of this project is to develop an automatic power load shedding system using a microcontroller, with the goal of ensuring a stable and reliable power supply while efficiently managing power demand. The project will follow the following methodology to achieve its objectives: -Data collection and analysis: Gather already set data on power consumption using sensors such as current and voltage sensors. -Microcontroller programming and control: Utilize a microcontroller as the central control unit for the load shedding system. Program the microcontroller to monitor and analyze power consumption data which is provided already. Develop consumption schedule to prioritize loads and determine the optimal load shedding strategy. Interface the microcontroller with switching devices for load shedding. The primary objectives of the project are: To design and implement an automatic power load shedding system using microcontroller, to develop consumption schedule for load prioritization and load shedding decision-making and to ensure efficient utilization of power resources and maintain a stable power supply The expected results of this project include successful implementation of the automatic power load shedding system using microcontroller, effective load prioritization and load shedding decisions based on consumption schedule and enhanced system reliability through load balancing. The results of this project will contribute to the stability, reliability and sustainability of power distribution networks, ensuring a consistent power supply and promoting effective energy management in the face of increasing demand.
