ABSTRACT
Phonology constitutes the segmental phonemes that is, the consonants and the vowels and also the supra segmental and other phonological processes. This study aim at explain the phonological processes obtainable in Edo language. The data are collected from Ẹdo native speakers. The data collected were analyzed using the Auto-segmental theory. Base on the findings in the course of this work it is observed in Ẹdo language, glide formation is the only source that provides for consonant clusters. And also that glide formation occur in Ẹdo langauge because of the voiceless of a consonant, /u/ change to /w/ in the environment of the voiceless consonant /x/,/r/ and also the vowel /i/ also change to /j/ in the environment of voiceless consonant /f/,/k/ /kp/.
