This study discusses the Auditing and Assurance Services of Auditors to Corporate Reporting of Selected Nigeria Listed Firm’s: Case Study of the staffs' of First Bank Plc. Benin City.In order to actualize the objectives of the study, various literature and theoretical issues were discussed. Descriptive Survey research design was adopted for this study. The instrument used for the purpose of this research was both the primary research instrument (questionnaire) and secondary research.This study is being conducted to assess the importance of auditing in corporate reporting in Nigeria. As a result, this study employed a survey research approach. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to First Bank plc. Benin City employees for this purpose. The data collected were presented in tables and analyzed using simple percentages and frequencies, while regression test was employed to make findings on the research hypotheses. The findings from the analysis revealed among other things that; the external auditors should regularly disclose their findings and present audit report to the audit committee, since their independence is improved by the audit committee, more informative reporting by auditors and a more discursive style of report including a commentary on the substantive issues concerning the company’s financial position, resolving the issues of litigation against auditors by; increasing the plaintiff's recognition of negligence, limiting liability by an agreement, promotional responsibility on the part of those who are to blame, past audit orientation can be overcome by broadening the area of auditing, corporate organizations should support auditing since it provides a mechanism for corporate reporting, and the auditors' report should identify the actual company's weaknesses as well as the organization's prospects.
