ABSTRACT
This study was undertaken to ascertain the attitude, knowledge and perception of Benin city residents towards the ‘go get your PVC’ campaign on social media. The objectives of the study were To Find out the attitude of Benin City residents towards the ‘go get your PVC’ campaign on social media. To determine the influence of ‘go get your PVC’ campaign on Benin City residents. The survey design was employed with the aid of 16-item questionnaire desired to elicit responses from 400 respondents in Benin City. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling. Then data were presented using frequency tables. Findings reveal that majority of the respondents had a positive attitude towards the campaign. Therefore the study recommends that citizens should use social media to promote factual political ideas and disseminate factual political information due to the power possessed by social media.
