The use of colour in residential building interior design has been shown to have a significant impact on residents' psycho-physiological well-being. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effects of colour on the interior of residential buildings, with a particular emphasis on the psychological and physiological responses of residents to various colours and colour combinations. A review of the literature on the subject will be conducted, including studies on the effects of colour on mood, stress levels, and overall well-being. The psycho-physiological effect of different colours and colour combinations on a sample of residents living in BDPA Estate, Ugbowo, Benin city will then be assessed quantitatively using a survey and physiological measures. The findings of this study will be a significant impact on architects, interior designers, and housing developers, as they will inform the design of residential buildings that promote the well-being of residents.
