ABSTRACT
The University of Benin students have good knowledge of eating disorders. The prevalence of these disorders among the University of Benin students is low, indicating minimal risk. Significant factors contributing to eating disorders among University of Benin students include anxiety, mental health disorders, body image dissatisfaction, and media exposure. The study also identified a link between fast food, sugary foods, highfats foods and processed food consumption and the occurrence of eating disorders, with associated digestive issues like constipation, ulcers, indigestion etc. There is a strong willingness among students to participate in support programs, with a preference for counseling and awareness initiatives.
