Abstract

This research work was designed to investigate the assessment of teaching strategies on the learning outcome of adult learners in Oredo local government area of Edo State

     To achieve the objective of this study, several author's views were reviewed, Adult literacy centers were selected in Oredo local government, descriptive and inferencial statistics survey research design was used, five research questions were raised and tested in order to obtain relevant information concerning the issue of the study, sixty five adult facilitators were selected as the sample of the population.

     Questionnaire were used to collect data, frequency counts, simple percentage, mean score and standard deviation were used to analyze the data collected to obtain meaningful results. From the results it was discovered that there is more importance of active participation, facilitative approaches, real-world relevance, and problem-based learning in adult education

There is much significance in engaging instructional methods, positive classroom climates, alignment of instructional strategies, and personalized learning opportunities, resonate with literature on effective teaching practices. designing instructional approaches that cater to the unique needs of adult learners will foaster the learning outcomes of adult learners, employing varied and engaging instructional strategies will enhance the performance and learning experiences of adult learners, addressing barriers in implement effective teaching strategies will facilitate effective teaching and learning experiences for adult learners, there is significant relationship between teaching strategies and the performance of adult learners in Oredo Local Government area of Edo State.
