ABSTRACT
This research project is titled "Assessment Of Secondary Schools Student’s Use Of Pidgin English In Egor Local Government, Area, Edo State.”. The major aim of this study is to ascertain the various classroom interaction patterns perceived by junior secondary school students in their English language class. Consequently, the review of related literature was done to provide a good basis for the conclusion of this work. The study employed is descriptive survey research design and the sampling techniques and the statistical tools employed to analyses the data collected were simple percentages and frequency, mean and standard deviation. Thirty-five (35) sample size for the study. Five research questions were general designed and formulated for the purpose of the study. The study revealed that there is a significant difference in gender and subject in Egor Local Government was employed. The study also revealed the reasons and influence of Nigeria Pidgin among students. Based on the findings, the recommendation and suggestion made for students, teachers, government, school administrators, parents and relevant agencies for further research.
