There has been a lot of research on whether exposure to low frequency lìMF from electrical sources below the exposure limit causes any health issues.
From the study carried out it was discovered that high voltage transformers emits Electromagnetic radiation, the case sturdy transformer located at the University of Benin, Chemistry department (distribution transformer) was found to be emitting an average of 9.4V/m of EMI" or rather having an average EMIR of 9.4v/m at the base of the transformer, and was also having an EF of 3 N/c at the base, measurements were taken with an Elecrosmog meter (GQ EMF-360V2/360+V2/380V2/390) at 0m distance from the transformer.
At a range of 20m away from the transformer the value of the EMF drops to an average of 4.5v/m while the EF remains constant, this shows that the radiation level at the base of the transformer (0m from the transformer) is very high and this makes it dangerous to the human health.
