ABSTRACT
The field of adult education offers its graduates a variety of job options so they can contribute to society and themselves. Due to the graduate's impression of the phrase "adult education," these opportunities are typically underutilized in an effort to underutilize these employment opportunities.. The aim of this study is to discuss Perception of Career Opportunities in Adult Education for Adult and Non-Formal Education Students in Nigeria. The study objectives aim at establishing the perception of career opportunities for adult education students in Nigeria. The use of questionnaires and structured interview were adopted in achieving the study objectives. The results of the findings show that (1) there is a high level of factors influencing the perception of adult education towards career opportunities and choices in Nigeria (2) the roles adult education practitioners play in creating career opportunities in adult education for adult and non-formal education students in Nigeria is low (3) there is a high level of family influence in the perception of career opportunities in adult education for adult and nonformal education students (4) there is a high significance of the impact of adult education on the perception of career choice and development on adult education student in Nigeria. Based on findings of the study, recommendations were made.
