ABSTRACT
The study was designed to investigate the Human Trafficking in Social Economy Development in Nigeria: a Case Study of Selected Local Government Areas in Edo State. Human trafficking can happen anywhere, as long as the environment contains vulnerable conditions. Human trafficking varies from country to country, but it usually preys on vulnerable situations. People in vulnerable and precarious situations are looking for a way out and in their desperation can fall prey to human traffickers. In this paper found with the help of secondary sources that human trafficking can be separated into sex trafficking and labor trafficking. Human trafficking have different purposes, there are general trends that explain the overall root causes of human trafficking such as poverty, war, natural disasters and a search for a better life and human trafficking generates a huge profit etc. are the causes of human trafficking.
