ASSESSMENT OF GROUND WATER QUALITY

SUMMARY

Textural analysis was carried out on some of the sand facies of the Imo Formation at Egboha community. The findings are summarized below:

i. The samples were moderately sorted

ii. The samples were predominantly quartz with little amount of feldspar and clay minerals

iii. The samples were Texturally sub- mature

iv. The samples were compositionally mature

v. The samples were inferred to be beach sand.
