ABSTRACT
The study investigated the extent to which broadcast stations covered the recent FIFA football competition among residents of Benin metropolis. Premised on the Social Responsibility Media Theory, the researcher used the survey method and questionnaire as instrument for the study. Respondents which cut across Benin city was surveyed. Finding revealed that broadcast station gave adequate coverage to the last FIFA competition. Thus, the researcher concluded that broadcast stations give adequate coverage to the football competition. It is recommended among others that broadcast stations should be well equipped to carry out their social responsibilities role.
