ABSTRACT

This study is focused on evaluating the proficiency of computer science students in acquiring program knowledge and skills against the demands of the ever evolving industry. With technology rapidly advancing, this assessment becomes paramount to bridge the gap between academia and real-world job expectations. The research employs various methodologies like curriculum analysis, surveys to gauge the effectiveness of computer science programs in the University of Benin in preparing students for successful careers in the field. The findings offer insights into areas where University of Benin may need to adapt their program to ensure that graduates are equipped with the most relevant skills and knowledge for a competitive job market. Ultimately, this study seeks to enhance the alignment between computer science education and industry requirements, fostering more capable and industry-ready graduates.
