ABSTRACT
Family planning has been discovered by several researchers to be thing of necessity. It is necessary because it can help to solve some issues which could be poverty, it can help to reduce crime, it can help to solve some economic issues. Also it reduce some health issues. This study was carried out to assess the impact of family planning programs on maternal and child health development. Other specific objectives are to assess the rate of utilization of family planning programs in Ugbowo Community Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state, evaluate the impact of family planning on maternal health care in Ugbowo Community Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state, assess the impact of family planning on child health in Ugbowo Community Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state, identify barriers to access family planning services in Ugbowo Community Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state and to examine the factors influencing family planning choices in Ugbowo Community Ovia North-East local government area of Edo state.
