ABSTRACT
This study assessed the career opportunities of adult education graduates in University of Benin. Four research questions were raised, the survey design was used for the study. 100 sample was draw from 400 level and graduates of the department. Questionnaire was used as instrument of collecting data and the statistical tool used for the study is frequency and percentage. Findings from this study showed that many graduates in adult education can have a career as civil servants and teachers. It was also discovered that a lot of graduates are not proud of the discipline and also there is little awareness about the discipline in the country.
Based on this findings it was recommended that in order to make the course more attractive and to give room for better career out of it. There should be a counseling on career for graduating students so that they can understand the world of work. There should also be creation of awareness to the employers of labour so that they can know the ability of these graduates.
