ABSTRACT
This text discusses asthma, a condition marked by chronic airway inflammation and muscle constriction, resulting in narrowed airways and associated symptoms. People with asthma are hypersensitive to certain substances. Shifting focus to Adansonia digitata, commonly known as the baobab tree, it is described as a valuable plant with various useful parts. The baobab tree's utility extends from its leaves used in soup preparation to its seeds for thickening soups or flavoring. The study also explores the effects of baobab plant extract on guinea pigs sensitized with ovalbumin, highlighting the potential for bronchiolar dilation and reduction in immune response, particularly eosinophilia, associated with asthma. Eosinophils, crucial in the immune system's defense against parasites and infections, are discussed as well
