ABSTRACT

This study delves into the application of Smart Well Technology In Polymer Flooding for Heavy Oil Recovery, aiming to optimize injection operations for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in challenging reservoir conditions. The evaluation of smart well technology in heavy oil reservoirs involves a comprehensive analysis of reservoir properties, feasibility considerations, and cost benefit assessments. By integrating smart well technology, real-time monitoring and control systems autonomously optimize injection operations to maximize oil recovery and minimize polymer consumption. The study encompasses a thorough analysis of polymer flooding, heavy oil recovery methods, and smart well technology, along with the development of a simulation model to evaluate the performance of smart well-assisted polymer flooding.
