ABSTRACT
Most mix production firms like the Bakery which are into the production of two or more products find it difficult most times to detect which product would yield more revenue to their firm if given the same number of allocated resources due to sometimes, poor decision making or low knowledge of the relevance of mathematics to the revenue generation of their organisation. So this research work is to help the manager {Decision Makers) to detect which product would yield the maximum profit and what strategy to imply by the linear programming model.
The methodology used in solving for the linear programming problem in the Tastebud bakery is the simplex algorithm which was computed manually.
For this research work our case study is the Tastebud bakery, Ekosodin, Benin City, which currently manufactures three varieties of bread: Small, Medium and Large size bread. From the data obtained from Tastebud bakery, after computations and iterations were done it shows the large size bread is more profitable and would yield much profits at the same allocated resources with its counterpart since it yield the optimal table and solution. So if 89 units of the large size bread is produces, it will lead to #1824 more of revenues generated.
