ABSTRACT
The project concentrated on critical review of methods for gas initial in place and reserve calculations. The aim is to fit pressure-production data to a straight line. The methodology is based on use of van der Waal’s equation of state to reservoir fluid compositions, and ability to develop algorithm to solve cubic polynomial equations. It was consequently observed that specific gravity is an important factor in estimating gas reserves as well as other properties. We observed that the pressure production curve is a straight line and the hypothetical field example confirmed it. We present some graphical plots of related parameters as correlation values.
