ABSTRACT

The popularity of sachet water as a substitute for clean bottled water has increased, as it is easily accessible and affordable. However, concerns have arisen regarding the packaging of water sachet. The main aim of the study is to utilize statistical control chart to evaluate the packaging process at a sachet water packaging factory. This research employed statistical quality control approach to assess the packaging in a sachet water packaging company. Quality control tool (P-Chart) was used to observe collected data obtained from the sachet water packaging company for three months. This was done to check if the process was in control or out of control. With this, the statistical control charts suitable for the process were constructed using “Microsoft Excel”. The results from the P-Chart indicated that the packaging process was in control, ensuring consistency in the packaging process. The application of control charts in assessing the packaging of sachet water is an effective tool for ensuring quality control and maintaining consistency in the packaging process.
