ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF PARENTS TEACHERS ASSOCIATION IN THE ADMINISTRATION

ABSTRACT

This study examined the role of Parents Teachers Association in the administration of secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. The aim of this study was to assess the role of P.T.A in the administration of secondary schools in Ovia North Local Government Area of Edo State. The descriptive survey research design method was employed for the study; the population for this study comprised 613 teachers, 3734 parents from 29 private secondary schools in Ovia North Local Government Area of Edo State. The sample for the study was 434 respondents selected using the simple random sampling technique; all questionnaires were answered and returned. Data collected was analyzed using frequency counts, percentage and mean.
