ABSTRACT
This research study investigates the impact of Public-private partnerships (PPPs) on service delivery in healthcare, with a primary focus on the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in Nigeria. The study employs a comparative case study design to assess changes in service delivery before and after the introduction of Public-private partnerships and to identify the factors contributing to these changes. The findings reveal a spectrum of perceptions among respondents regarding the impact of Public-private partnerships. While a majority express confidence in the positive changes resulting from Public-private partnerships, others maintain uncertainty or skepticism. The research identifies several dimensions of service delivery influenced by Public-private partnerships, including improvements in the quality of care, access to healthcare, efficiency of services, and patient satisfaction.
