ABSTRACT
This study seeks to investigate the analysis of the challenges encountered by student teachers within the vocational and technical education department during their teaching practice. Recognizing the pivotal role of practical training in shaping effective educators, our study seeks to uncover the multifaceted challenges that these aspiring teachers encounter. Through a systematic examination of various factors, including classroom dynamics, curriculum implementation, and pedagogical approaches, we aim to provide a nuanced understanding of the obstacles hindering the optimal development of student teachers in the specific context of vocational and technical education. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire, which was developed and administered to the 300 and 400 level students teachers. The data from their responses were analyzed with the use of four point rating scale. The outcomes of this analysis not only shed light on the specific challenges but also propose practical recommendations for educational institutions and policymakers. By addressing these challenges head-on, we aim to contribute to the refinement of teacher training programs, ultimately fostering a more supportive and conducive environment for student teachers in the vocational and technical education department.
