ABSTRACT
The study investigated analysis of teaching practice posting challenges in university of Benin. The purpose was to investigate the challenges encountered by the students during teaching practice posting, the problem student teachers faced during teaching practice as a result of where they posted to.
The population of interest was the entire 400 level students 2018/2019 academic session. While a total sample of 100 was used. The validity f the instrument was done by project supervisor and two research experts in the faculty of education to look out for the content.
The findings of the study showed that principal should provide hostel, and office accommodations to the student-teachers, government should also pay teaching practice allowances for the up-keep of the students, majority of the schools do not prepared the timetable for the public teachers. Public teachers are not imparted training of different methods and recommendations was made thus; proper planning for teaching practice may be made before its commencement. Preparation of a feasible timetable for the pupil teachers in collaboration with school administration and students teachers may be training practically for lesson planning in advance and allowed to use the available facilities.
