ABSTRACT:
This study analysis the implementation of primary in Ovia North East Local Government Area. It is a descriptive survey. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of health education. Immunization, maternal and child health care and also the prevention and control of endemic diseases, how the study has influenced and affected the study area. The population was meant to cover 120 students in the area of study. The major instrument used foe data collection is questionnaire. On the presentation of data, the author uses frequency tables and means percentages to depict the responses of the respondents to a particular research question.
Data collected from their responses were used in analyzing the study. The findings revealed that health education in primary health care is well carried out. It revealed that immunization, maternal and child health, prevention and control of diseases in primary healthcare is not fully carried, thereby leaving some gaps for the proper utilization of primary health care centres.
The study revealed that for primary health care to be well implemented, there should be proper funding, good facilities, availability of medical equipment and a well structured law backing primary health care centres.
