ABSTRACT
This study investigates the analysis of involving upper basic students in vocational skill acquisition.(A case study of Egor local government area of Edo State). The research aims to examine the extent to which involving upper basic students in vocational skill acquisition contributes to the development of vocational skills and its impact on future employability. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire, which was developed and administered to the secondary school students and teachers. The data from their responses were analyzed with the use of four point rating scale. The Findings reveal the significance of upper basic education in preparing students for vocational careers and emphasize the need for curriculum enhancements and policy improvements. This study provides insights into the crucial link between upper basic education and vocational skill acquisition, ultimately contributing to a more skilled and employable workforce.
