ABSTRACT
This paper aims to analyze analysis of critical vulnerabilities of some Nigeria university website.One of the turning points in Nigeria educational systems is the adoption of worldwide web (www), and a website is a type of classroom, a type of an office that brings people of the same interest together for knowledge sharing and administration. Nowadays a website is playing the role of a public relation for the tertiary institution and the first point of contact to the web visitor either nationally or internationally when they are searching to know more about an institution. This study viewed consequences of website vulnerabilities, besides the cost of fixing the website, there are many hidden costs related to website vulnerabilities. To restore a website, it will be necessary to allocate funds towards an internal or external development team. This expense often surpasses the cost of implementing website security measures. Consequently, companies may find themselves compelled to reduce their security improvement budget in favor of remedial action. The recovery cost represents an initial loss that every company must confront.
